HomeAid regularly hosts HomeAid Cares Days, which are construction and home improvement projects that improve a facility that serves the homeless but do not add additional beds for the homeless. Examples include finishing the basement of a home, installing shelving to convert a storage room/garage into a food pantry or donation storage area, interior and exterior painting, deep cleaning, building a deck or patio, landscaping and more. Other HomeAid Care projects may be food drives, toy drives and participation in HomeAid's Essentials for Young Lives drive to collect baby diapers, wipes and formula for families living in HomeAid built shelters with infant and toddler children.
HomeAid Cares projects can accommodate from 5 to 100 people. This is an opportunity for those interested in volunteering for HomeAid projects to get involved in a very hands-on way.
