In 2007, HomeAid Colorado has set an ambitious goal to break ground on four more housing projects, our busiest year yet. Plans include the first two of four planned projects serving at-risk youth at Lowry in Denver; an emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence and their children in Longmont and a duplex to provide transitional housing to homeless families in Loveland.

HomeAid Colorado and Third Way Center Launch Lowry Treatment Campus
On July 25, 2006, HomeAid Colorado and Third Way Center hosted a launch party for a residential treatment facility on the grounds of the Lowry Redevelopment Project in east Denver. Bob Kendrick, Channel 9News, emceed the groundbreaking while Mike Roque, Director of the Denver Office of Strategic Partnerships, spoke about the importance of partnerships between government, nonprofit and for-profit entities in addressing social issues like homelessness. At completion, Third Way Center’s Lowry Treatment Campus will cover 1.8 acres and consist of four ranch-style homes that offer a secure and structured environment for homeless teens with mental health disorders and behavioral issues.
