HomeAid Colorado links professional homebuilders with proven care providers that serve the more than 12,000 homeless men, women and children in Colorado. The care providers need quality housing to continue their work and the homebuilders have the resources and labor to help. HomeAid ensures these groups work together to build quality housing that meets the needs of those who depend on them

Founded in 1989 by the Orange County chapter of the Building Industry Association of Southern California (BIASC), HomeAid has expanded throughout the country as a national pioneer in building housing for the temporarily homeless. Colorado joined the HomeAid effort in late-1999 and is making a notable impact on the growing issue of homelessness in Colorado. As of June 2008, we have built 25 housing units, with 172 beds, representing more than $2.6 million in in-kind contributions of labor and materials from the building industry to serve Colorado's homeless.  For every dollar donated, the building industry gives $2-3 in-kind, leveraging donations from our community to accomplish more with less.
